Hi I'm Maggie

I grew up in Santa Clara, Utah, I have been called to serve a mission in Florida Fort Lauderdale, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During high school I played volleyball as a middle blocker and loved every minute of it, and my senior year my team won the state championship tournament, which was a dream come true:) I participated in school plays and was a member of the Madrigal singing group. I was the vice president of National Honors Society and I was one of 44 students selected from around the U.S. to be a part of the National Rifle Association Youth Education Summit. I play the piano and took lessons for about eight years. I'm an avid reader and one of my top three favorite books is To Kill a Mockingbird.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love being a Mormon! I love the community, the lifestyle, and most importantly the teachings. I love the Book of Mormon and know that the teachings found within its pages are true and correct. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and that through them he was able to translate the Book of Mormon and reestablish His church on the earth. I know that we have a living prophet that gives us guidance and direction. I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, lives and loves each of us and that he Atoned for not only my sins, but the sins of the world. These truths that I've come to know did not come to me all at once, I had to study and pray and learn; and I'm grateful for that. I wouldn't have been able to build such a strong relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ if I didn't put the time in to get to know them and their gospel. The knowledge and testimony I've gained through this church mean everything to me:)

How I live my faith

My calling in the ward is currently with the youth! I love it so much and I love spending time with the little kids. For my visiting teaching assignment I get to email the sister missionaries from our ward to keep them updated on how the ward is doing and to inform the ward of how they are doing. I especially love this assignment as I prepare to serve my own mission, it gives me the chance to communicate with current missionaries and hear about their successes and hardships. One way I like to live my faith is by reading my scriptures every day; I am currently reading the Book of Mormon and it amazes me that I can still learn and grow from the same book even though I've read it before.
