Hi I'm Drew

I was born and raised in Idaho. I love to raft, ski, and play outdoors. I love music and cross country. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I worked as a river guide for BSA during summer breaks throughout high school on the Middle Fork of the Maine Salmon. I love being outdoors; seeing God's beautiful creations. I play piano and sing. During school I worked for the Boys and Girls Club of Magic Valley, and ran cross country. Now that I've graduated from high school, I'm serving a mission in the Philippines Tacloban mission, a place where I had actually performed humanitarian aid. I love service, and am excited to serve the humble, yet happy people of the Philippines, where my Dad served his mission, in Bacolod. After, I plan going on to college to become a dermatologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because of the happiness it has brought to my life. I know this is the true church of God, and am excited to share it. I know, because I've read the Book of Mormon and taken a challenge at its end. I prayed about the book, the gospel, the Prophet Joseph Smith, and the reality of God and our Savior Jesus Christ. I felt the Spirit or impression from my Heavenly Father telling me it was true. As well as, I have felt the Spirit as I have performed service, been in the temple, and used the greatest service of all the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and wish all to know as well.

How I live my faith

I've had leadership positions throughout high school. In my youngmens groups, in my scout troops, and in the student government. I've done my best to lead by example. Being younger I haven't had a full on calling, besides being a ward missionary, helping the missionaries who are serving in my area. It's been a good preparation for my own mission. One of my favorite ways to live my faith is to perform service projects, as well as attend the Twin Falls temple.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Drew
Increasing our conversion or faith in Jesus Christ is a daily ordeal. Like brushing your teeth you wouldn't use a lot of toothpaste and brush for 15 min at the end of a week without brushing your teeth at all. Rather, you would brush with a little toothpaste daily to keep your teeth healthy. The same applies to your Spirit. You must read your scriptures, pray, serve, or whatever else brings you closer to Christ daily to keep your Spirit healthy and strong. Show more Show less
