Hi I'm Tate Roberts

I got my associates degree at 17. I am an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Tate, a young man just out of high school. I graduated with my associates degree and enjoy playing Tennis and Ultimate Frisbee. I am the oldest of 4 kids and the oldest grandchild of my mom's mom. I love science and am planning on becoming an expert on genetics. I love my family and my friends and have always tried to make them happy, even though that isn't always possible.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born a member of the LDS Church, I had to be converted to it. I had to learn from God for myself if this is His kingdom once again upon the earth. I had too read the Book of Mormon and ask God myself if it was His word. Through much study and prayer I gained my testimony that not only was the Book of Mormon true, but that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that through him the fullness of the gospel was restored, that we have a current prophet on the earth, and that Jesus Christ lived, died for us, and lives again, all because He loves us. I know that it is only through Him that we can be cleansed from sin and have those feelings of guilt and pain taken away from us. I know that God the Father loves us and will answer our prayers if we ask in faith. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints holds the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its teachings will bring you happiness in this life and the next.

How I live my faith

I am currently out on a two year mission in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. I left home for two years to teach others about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the LDS church. I loved doing service while at home and love doing service for those around me now, particularly doing service at the Mississippi Food Network. Before I left on my mission, I was a Family History Consultant for the congregation I was apart of. I helped people connect to their past and find out where they came from.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Tate Roberts
The church helps out all people, Mormon, other Christians, non-Christian, you name it. When I am planning on doing service for someone, I don't plan specifically for any religious group or race or anything. I just know there are people who need help, and I have the resource to do the things that the Lord would do if he were in my place. Show more Show less
