Hi I'm Tory

I live in North Carolina. I am a high school student who runs Cross Country, plays Lacrosse and loves to bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains where I am one of five Mormons in my high school of 1500. I am the Laurel president in my ward of five young women. I love seminary and am preparing to serve a full time mission. I want to travel and see the world and I want to serve in a foreign language mission. I have three siblings, who I love to play board games with. I love baking and making other people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very fortunate to have been born in the church. My parents have taught me to read the scriptures and pray. The past few years, I have began to deeply study the scriptures on my own and focused on having meaningful prayers. The more I have put in an effort to know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, the more joy I receive. I have learned to rely on the Holy Ghost. With the Holy Ghost, I have been guided on making the best decisions and how to improve. This has greatly increased my knowledge and made me a much better person. The immense joy I receive from the gospel is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

About once every month, I get to teach the young women ages 12-18 my age in church. By preparing these lessons, I get to learn more about the gospel and get to share it with others. I love helping others find the joy they can have and discussing how we can come closer to Christ. The same group gets together every Wednesday and spend time together. It is great to have a time where we focus on building each other up. Sometimes, I get to go out with the Sister Missionaries to teach lessons. The gospel has brightened my life and I want to share it with others.
