Hi I'm Lynnie

I grew up in Richfield, Utah. I have worked in Family History for many years and love finding my ancestors. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired and enjoying working in Family History. My hobbies include art, sewing, gardening, and playing with my grandchildren. We have three wonderful children and ten grandchildren. We also have a young man from Korea who lived with us for four years and now has three more "grandchildren" for us. One of the most wonderful times of my life was being able to live in Ghana, Africa, and teaching the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised and baptized into the church at the age of 8 years old. I gained a testimony of the Church as I participated in the Church programs as I grew up. I think my testimony grew when I left home to go to school and found I had to make right choices. I learned that I have a very loving Heavenly Father through the good and the bad things of life. I met and married a wonderful companion and together we have raised three wonderful children and now have 10 grandchildren. We had difficult times when we lost two of our children, one in infancy and one at the age of 28. Our oldest son died as a result of a car accident. It was through these tragedies I gained my testimony of how much our Father in Heaven loves each of us and how much the gospel of Jesus Christ means to me. I am grateful to have had His love to help me get through these times of sorrow. Because of these times in my life, I have been able to help others through hard times and help them feel of this love of our Heavenly Father. I know this gospel is true and I know these children are apart of our eternal family. I know personally this love can come into our lives if we accept and learn of our Father in Heaven and the gospel and live the principles it teaches us.

How I live my faith

I have worked in the scouting program, a youth program in our city, and many times I have taught the youth in my church callings. I have also been a leader of the women in our church and served also at the local prison with the women there. I have had many opportunities to be involved in special presentations in the church and love serving with others.
