Hi I'm Austin

I'm a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint serving in the Texas, Houston East Mission! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading books (i.e. Pendragon series, Ranger's Apprentice series). I also enjoy the outdoors and love to go camping and hiking. I love to cook for others. I am a huge sports fan and especially love to play football, basketball, and volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have experienced so much love and support from the wonderful members of this faith in helping me grow up into the young man I am today. Before I was converted, it was just my single mother, my little sister, and I by ourselves. When we decided to move to Las Vegas, I had the opportunity of meeting with a pair of amazing missionaries that helped me to be baptized a month later. And although this all happened while I was only at the young age of 12, I have been blessed to see the wonderful effects of having the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. One of the first blessings I witnessed was having the gift of the Holy Ghost's guiding hand in my life to help me to male the right decisions I needed to make that has led me to this point in my life. I am not only grateful for this gospel in my life, but also for the atoning sacrifice of our savior Jesus Christ. For I know that without Him and His sacrifice, we could not be saved from our sins and mistakes that I've made in my life. It is such a comforting fact for me to know that I am not alone in this life, but that He and others in this church are there to help guide and support me through my trials in this life. Of these truths I humbly bear unto you, in the sacred name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my ward for church I work with the 12-13 year olds as their youth advisor for church and their assistant scoutmaster of Troop 390 in the Boy Scouts of America. I also live my faith by praying and studying my scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon) daily. Because of my love for this faith and church, I am preparing now to serve a full-time mission to share it with others.
