Hi I'm Dana

I'm a Student. I'm an Educator. I'm a Dancer. I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I am an undergraduate student, earning my degree in Dance Education, as well as minors in Ballroom Dance and Math. I have taught elementary creative dance classes, as well as beginning social dance and beginning country swing at the collegiate level. Additionally, I have performed with two ballroom companies and two contemporary dance companies. I am excited to dance and share dance for the rest of my life! :) In addition to dancing, I love to read, especially old classics, fairytales, and princess stories (Cinderella is my absolute favorite). However, I don't enjoy writing; because of that, I have a HUGE appreciation for those who do, because they give me things to read! :) I enjoy being outside, especially by streams/rivers/lakes. Bodies of water are the best. :) I am not very good at sports (my mom says I shoot hoops "like a fairy"), but if I had to pick a favorite sport it would probably be kickball, because that is what we play most at extended family gatherings. :)

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a Mormon because I was born to parents who are members of the church, so it's the way I was raised. I have no idea who I would be today if I was raised differently, and I don't really want to find out. Now, though, I am a Mormon because I know

How I live my faith

Currently, I am in a young single adult congregation, and I am serving by helping coordinate activities for the women in the ward. About once a month, we have a women-only activity outside of our regular church meetings/responsibilities just to get to know each other better and have fun--kind of like a social. :) I am responsible for coordinating a small committee to put together these activities. Additionally, once a month I help facilitate discussions/councils among the women in the congregation during our meetings without the men. :) I love serving my sisters at church!
