Hi I'm Trent

I am a husband and father. I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love computers, electronics, building, painting, drawing, inventing, fishing, camping, martial arts, and I can fix about anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and baptized in the church. However, when I became a teen I had lost interest. you see at that time I saw church as something that took up 3 long hours every Sunday. Not to mention all the other things like Seminary and visiting teaching. So instead of going on a Mission I went to college, Got Married etc... Later I found out I was going to be a father, I was so happy because I had everything I ever wanted but something seemed to be missing. So we tried a few non LDS churches around the area. I cant say anything bad about these churches I did enjoy going to them, and the best part was that the service only lasted about an hour. But still something was missing. I was out in my front yard digging a hole for a flag pole when 2 missionaries stopped by and helped me mix the concrete. I thought about Going back to the LDS church I even had Dreams about it, but wasn't sure how. I thought it may cause tension within My Wife's family because they wouldn't understand Mormons. Finally my wife agreed to go to Sacrament only. so we did, and snuck out before any one could see us. after doing this for a few weeks I decided my son would lean more by going to classes, so me and my son stayed for all classes. I quickly discovered that I had looking at church all wrong over the years. Its not about putting in 3 long hours a week. When you give it a chance you'll find that 3 hours is hardly enough. My wife is now Baptized and I am so Grateful I now feel Spiritually full.

How I live my faith

We are all Gods children. I enjoy doing service for my fellow man. I do it not that I am told to, But because I want to. Because out of love for them. that is one reason why I accepted my calling to be the first councilor in the elders Quorum. With this calling I have the opportunity to teach, organize events, provide service for people in need in the community, etc... In the world today their is much negativity and many poor role models. By setting a good example "being a Mentor" for others I feel I can reach out to touch many that are lost. I enjoy positive uplifting activities. I teach Sunday school, Martial arts and Spending time with family. I have rental property and enjoy working in it. When the opportunity arises I that I need to work on it I invite a youth to help them learn. this is how I Mentor.
