Hi I'm Connie

I'm a convert to the LDS church. I enjoy biking, hiking and playing the flute. I'm a retired 2nd grade teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and all that it offers. Most important to me is my husband and my family. They mean everything to me. My husband and I have been married for almost 43 years and we have seven sons. I love being a mom. I love teaching and being in the out of doors especially, hiking, biking and being with fifteen beautiful grandchildren. My husband and I are going on a mission to New York Rochester this fall.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love truth. When I was 19 I was looking to change my life. I was not happy in the religion I grew up with. My best friend helped me find the LDS church, and I am forever grateful for it. There is a spirit in this church that cannot be found anywhere else. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and it has made a world of difference in my life. The Book of Mormon changed my life and it continues to bless my life as I read from it daily. My faith in the teachings of the gospel gave me comfort after the death of my two year old son. It teaches me about our loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and their plan for me and my family, giving me great peace. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon, read it. You'll love it. It will change your life. This church brings me happiness because I know it's where I belong. I love how the gospel helps me every day. Every good thing that has come to me, and every good thing that I am, comes from my membership in the Church.

How I live my faith

I am trying to focus my life to be more like the Savior Jesus Christ. I live my faith by loving and caring for my family, serving others in and out of the church, following the prophet and striving to bring others unto Christ. I work hard to let the light of Christ shine through me. I'm a Cub Scout leader for 10 year olds. I love my boys and look forward to each time we meet. I also share my musical talents with my ward whenever I can. How wonderful to serve God by serving his children with my husband, in the New York Rochester mission.
