Hi I'm Kimberly

I am a wife, mother to two beautiful little girls, a music teacher, singer and friend.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, music teacher and singer. I served a mission in Guayaquil Ecuador from Nov 1999-April 2001. After returning from my mission I attended Utah State University where I majored in voice performance. After graduation I moved to Arizona and attended Arizona State University where I completed my masters in voice/opera performance. While living in AZ I also met my husband. We were married in the San Diego temple in August of 2008 and welcomed our first daughter in August of 2010. Just before she turned one we moved to San Diego to be near my husband's family. In June of 2012 we welcomed a second daughter to our family. I am a stay at home mother and music teacher and my husband is a plumber. We love living near family and the beach and feel truly blessed everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Mormon church but as I grew older I had to know for myself that it was the right church for me. I read, studied, prayed and pondered about the things I was learning and had been taught. I can't say that I have ever had a vision or dream that has confirmed the truth to me but I have felt the spirit witness to me that this is the church of Jesus Christ and that all I have been taught is good and true. As I follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and serve those around me I can feel that Heavenly Father is pleased with me and that I am his daughter and he loves me. There is a lot of good in this world but also a lot of evil. I feel at peace knowing that if I follow the principles of the gospel and strive to improve myself each day that I will be blessed and protected upon the earth and be able to fulfill the mission I was intended for here upon the earth. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that He died for me and for you and because of that sacrifice I can be forgiven and become more like him. I know my Father in Heaven loves me and wants me to return to live with him when my journey on this earth is complete. For that knowledge I am truly thankful.

How I live my faith

I serve as a counselor in our ward primary presidency where I teach and work with children ages 3-11. I love to see their testimonies of the gospel grow as they learn about Jesus Christ and his plan for them. I also serve as a visiting teacher to three sisters in our ward and enjoy sharing gospel messages with them and being their friends.
