Hi I'm Don

I grew up in Ontario Canada and was baptized in 1971. I am a Mormon and happy to be so.

About Me

I was baptized in the small town of Lindsay, Ontario in 1971. Our little chapel closed a short time later and we had to travel 50 kms to Peterborough and my parents were too poor to make the trip every week and soon dropped out about a year or so later. I tried to stay involved for a while but couldn't do it and stopped going. It took me about 45 years to finally get involved again. I have since received the Melchizedek priesthood and will never leave this church. I love it and the people and this gospel very much.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was searching for the church for me I prayed to God and asked where I should go. A little while later I was leaving my cousin's place and there were 2 elders across the the street from their house. I went over and talked to them and invited them to come to see me. I have been hooked since. I am a Mormon because I know that this church and the gospel is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon with the power of the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

Shortly after I received the Aaronic Priesthood I started passing the sacrament every Sunday and still do to this day. I am also just started as a home teacher but have not seen the people I am supposed to be teaching as of yet as my companion is a very busy man. I have had no callings yet but do look forward to when I do.
