Hi I'm Tim

I was born in Utah, but grew up in the Heartland, the Kansas Wichita Mission. Music is my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First off, I am a missionary in the greatest place on earth, in the Kansas Wichita Mission! I greatly enjoy little moments full of peace, love, and joy. Some of these moments consist of sitting in a rocking chair, sipping some Dr. Pepper, hugging a dog, watching the new Cinderella movie, getting a massage, playing games with family and friends, watching General Conference, singing in a choir while in a cathedral, being in a musical during the final scene, reading a chapter from the Book of Mormon, listening to heart-warming music, waking up on Christmas morning, holding a newborn, walking down memory lane while playing Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the N64, just to say a few! But the one thing that gives me the most peace, love, and joy is coming to know my Savior through the experiences that I've had while on my mission. I know why I came on a mission, and it wasn't just to help people come closer to Him, although that does give me joy. I came on a mission for my own conversion to take flight. I know that the man that comes off that plane in the next few months will not be the same boy who went onto that plane nearly two years ago. All that I know and love about this gospel has been amplified and made manifest in the experiences and trials that have come into my life during these two wonderful, heart-wrenching, headthrobbing, fearful, gracious, miraculous years of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and grew up in this Church. I always knew in my heart that it was true. I went through my childhood knowing that Jesus Christ, our Savior, my Redeemer, loves me for exactly who I am. I surrounded myself with friends I love, and who I knew loved Christ as much as I do, sometimes even more. Everything about this gospel is perfect. That is because it is truly from God, our Heavenly Father, who loves us completely and perfectly. While on the mission, I've been asked countless times, why do you believe all this? Because this gospel, this Church, has touched my heart in a way that no worldly or earthly thing can change. I want to strive to live a life that everyone I meet can see Christ in my heart and in my countenance. This is why I am a Mormon. “It is true intelligence for a man to take a subject that is mysterious and great in itself, and to unfold and simplify it so that a child can understand it.” - President John Taylor "Man is buffeted by circumstances so long as he believes himself to be the creature of outside conditions, but when he realizes that he is a creative power, and that he may command the hidden soil and seeds of his being out of which circumstances grow, he then becomes the rightful master of himself." - James Allen, "As A Man Thinketh"

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in Kansas. I love being able to always be there for people who need help, and inviting them to come closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Serving the people of Kansas has helped me gain a greater love and appreciation for Jesus Christ. He never stopped serving, and never thought to think of Himself, and so must I strive to do the same. "When obedience ceases to be an irritant and becomes our quest, in that moment God will endow us with power." - President Ezra Taft Benson
