Hi I'm Branden

I grew up in Simi Valley California, I'm 6'7", I am a part of the USA Volleyball Youth National Team, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the beach, volleyball, and my friends. I spent 2 weeks in August of 2015 in Argentina competing in the World Championships for U-19 volleyball. I'm going to play volleyball at BYU, but before that I am serving 2 years as a missionary. I earned my Eagle Scout at the age of 15, and I love the outdoors, biking, camping, and exploring new things. I love Alternative music and my favorite band is Imagine Dragons, however I do love Macklemore. I can play the piano, and I play a killer game of ping pong.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormon, so I was born into this church. But that doesn't mean that I wasn't converted. I had to grow my faith in God and in Jesus Christ through my own experiences, and not my parents. Many times when I've felt down and afraid, I've always had the comfort of knowing that there is something else more important in life, and that is my faith. I know that God and Jesus live, and that this is Christ's true church on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

During high school I would wake up at 5:20 every morning before going to school to participate in our early morning seminary class, where we would start the day with a quick spiritual class. A lot of the times I'm on a team or a group where I'm the only Mormon there. I often have to explain to my friends and new people I meet that I choose not to see R rated movies or drink coffee. I strive to be a good example to people who are watching me, and to teach other people about the LDS faith at any possible opportunity.
