Hi I'm Hannah

I love to cook, travel and watch films. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and live in Derry, Northern Ireland. I currently work as a home carer; I love my job, and the chance it gives me to meet and help new people. Making other people happy is really important to me, and I think that's one of the things that drew me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; one of the fundamental aspects of our church is to learn how to better serve others. I love photography and film; I studied these at University, and hope to find a career in them in the future. I also love to travel. I've volunteered in Thailand on several occasions, with charities that support communities in poverty and at risk. In my free time I love to cook, watch films and read books.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Christian but slowly fell away from religion as a teenager; I knew that God was real but didn't know where I could find Him. I went to England to study at University, and while I was there I bumped into some missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I didn't know much about their church, and I thought it would be foolish not to give it a chance, so I started to meet with them regularly. It didn't take long for me to realise that the Book of Mormon could help me to have the happy life and relationship with God that I wanted. I'm a Mormon because it makes me a better person, and it brings be closer to my Heavenly Father and my Saviour Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives me peace and hope; I know that I have great potential within me, and that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday; whether it's going to church meetings, organising lessons and activities for the youth, reading my scriptures or simply helping others. Every day presents me with the opportunity to become a better me - some days I do better than others, but my main goal is to be a more loving person to everyone around me.
