Hi I'm Hollis

My name is Hollis and I worked at Hollister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo Utah in 1996. My mom was born in Thailand, and my dad was born here in Utah. I've been to Thailand multiple times and have quite a bit of family over there. Traveling, adventuring, loving and making people happy are my most favorite things. The gospel is the foundation and happiness of my life. I have a mission call to Bangkok, Thailand and will be leaving shortly. I plan on attending either Brigham Young University or Southern Virginia University. I deferred both, and plan on deciding where to go after my mission. I'm a black belt in Taekwondo and obsessed with the movie, "Up". I love love a little too much and love the outdoors!

Why I am a Mormon

I know this church is true. I've seen God work miracles in my life each and every day. They've become so much more evident to me. I know the trials in my life are here to make me better. We are all apart of a plan, everything that happens in each of our lives, is what's supposed to happen. It always works out, no matter what we may think. "Decisions Determine Destiny." I have already decided and will continue to serve the Lord with all my heart, mind, and strength. I have a sure testimony that Christ is real, and He LIVES. The gospel brings me so much joy and happiness. I cannot wait to serve my mission in Thailand and bring that joy I have felt into other people's lives. How could I be sad when I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for me? How could I not always be happy when I know I can live with my family forever? Families are eternal. God is real. We are surrounded by people who love is. The gospel is happiness. Life is an amazing thing, and we are all here for a reason. It's just up to us to decide how we use this wonderful gift of life our Heavenly Father has given us.

How I live my faith

I strive to attend the temple multiple times a week. My friends and I, every week, meet at the temple and read our scriptures. We share uplifting thoughts and spiritual things we have learned throughout the week. I have been ordained an elder and leave on my mission very shortly. I strive to read the Book of Mormon everyday and read general conference talks regularly. I always take every opportunity to increase spiritually. I keep and bring a spiritual journal to every spiritual meeting to write my thoughts.
