Hi I'm Julie

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I am the mother of 4 and grandmother of 14. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my children and 14 grandchildren. I have been married to the love of my life for almost 37 years. I graduated from culinary school and enjoy sharing my love for cooking with others. I like spending time outdoors skiing, biking, swimming, running. I completed my first and only marathon a few year ago. I have had health challenges in my life and received a liver transplant 18 years ago due to a rare liver disease. I have been greatly blessed to have a pleasant and happy life in spite of these challenges. I have been able to see my children grow up and marry and have children of their own. I have volunteered with a non-profit organization and traveled to Mozambique several times. I cherish the experiences that I have had there and the friends I have made.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church and had a testimony as long as I can remember. My love for the gospel has grown through the years as I have faced my own challenges and looked to the Lord for answers to questions. I have received peace and inspiration through prayer and have felt the Lord's guidance in my life. My mother was a member of the church when she married my father. My father was not a member of the church and did not join the church for many years. He was always an example of goodness and integrity. He eventually joined the church and was an active member the rest of his life. My parents example played a vital role in my choice to be a member of the Mormon church. I am filled with gratitude for their good examples.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the church through the years. I have taught children, youth and adults. I have also spent many years in the cub scouting organization. I love helping wherever I have been asked to serve. I am now preparing to go on a mission with my husband and serve in California.
