Hi I'm Tristan

I grew up in Idaho and I love sports and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho and just graduated from high school and I loved playing sports, especially football! I love most things that involve being active, especially in the outdoors. I am half Okinawan and am proud of my culture. I am now about to serve a mission in Fukuoka, Japan after which I will go to Brigham Young University for college.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I think it might be true, but because I KNOW it is true. Whenever I attend church or think of Christ and His sacrifice or read books of scripture like the Bible and Book of Mormon, I feel warm and peaceful inside. I have come to realize that it is the Holy Ghost testifying to me that all those things are true; that Christ truly did live on Earth as the Son of God and that he has indescribable love for each of us and wants us to be happy. That is just what the gospel did for me: it makes me happy. Deeply and sincerely happy. Through reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it is true, I have received answers from Heavenly Father through those peaceful feelings. I cannot deny those feelings because I know they were from God Himself.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and enjoyed weekly youth activities growing up as well. We would do fun bonding activities like camping on the weekends and also service projects for the sick or elderly. As young men in the church, we are expected to serve others as Christ did and we love doing it!
