Hi I'm Michael Sutphin

I'm a Mormon and a surgeon. I live in Wyoming. I ride a Harley, and so does my wife.

About Me

I have been able to help people in my medical practice for thirty one years, doing surgery on old and young, male and female. I treasure my family and the time I can spend with them. We have five children and fourteen grandchildren, and we are often all together. I live in the high desert area of southwestern Wyoming, surrounded by antelope, elk and eagles. We go scuba diving, whitewater rafting and motorcycling. We love to see new areas in our neighborhood and in the world, and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church allows families to be together forever, as an eternal unit. This was one aspect that most caught my attention as a high school senior. The special spirit that members carry with them is a recognizable glow they carry with them, and is something they want to share. Two of my classmates were able to present their testimony of the Gospel Plan to me, and I was baptized two months before high school graduation. I have been blessed throughout my life by the many rewards that living an obedient life gives, and know that happiness can only come by being a follower of Christ. Our Savior.

How I live my faith

Our church is one of service, and I have been called as addiction recovery missionary, bishop, bishop's counselor, stake executive secretary, Elder's Quorum president and High Priests group leader. I love to visit with persons that are interested in self improvement and in families. I have also served on the local school board for seventeen years, and have been active in local charities and foundations.
