Hi I'm Justin Minks

I grew up in Missouri. I have four brothers and one sister. I love sports. I'm a Mormon. Nevada Las Vegas West Mission.

About Me

I love sports. Wrestling is how I spent most of my time in high school and I love it. I pretty much like all sports though and I love watching sporting events. I love watching movies, mostly comedy's and sports. Most of all though I love spending time with my friends and family doing whatever, just as long as I get to hang out with them and make memories with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that this is Christ's true Church. I believe that The Lord came to Joseph Smith in the sacred grove at the age of 14, much like the church came into my life when I was 12. My mom didn't go to church while I was growing up so I knew nothing about it until my friend asked me to go. She later told me that when I was a baby, she went to church and the just kept the record, she told me my uncle still went to church so I started going with him. A few years later missionaries came to my house and started teaching me and I was later baptized. For as long as I have been a member, I have always wanted to serve a mission, and now I am getting the opportunity to do so and I am so excited.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to think of Jesus Christ in all that I do and try to be an example of Him. I am always willing to answer questions about my faith. Growing up in a small town in Missouri there was tons of opportunities to help clear up some false ideas that some people had. That doesn't mean that I knew everything though, sometimes someone would ask me a questions and I would have to study it out myself. I loved when that happened because I was able to learn something new myself. I love teaching and helping other people become stronger in the church. My parent teach 8-10 year old kids in the church and sometimes I will sub for them. The kids are so fun to teach, and when I do teach them I learn so much more than I would expected teaching little kids. I have served as a President in some of my classes, as a secretary, and as substitute teacher. I love helping out in any way I can and I love doing all I can for The Lord, even if that means sacrificing my time to do his will and to help others grow stronger and get a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father.
