Hi I'm Alyssa

I love Christmas, ice-cream, and fall weather. I'm serving as a missionary in Spokane, WA. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest out of 6 kids and I'm 19 years old. I love watching and playing sports; I played basketball, volleyball, and ran the 100 and 200 meter in track in high school. After I graduated, I started running longer distances and I love that now too! I went to hair school after I graduated high school and met some of my best friends there. Cutting hair will be a good way to pay for the rest of college. I want to study interior design after I return home from serving a mission in Spokane, WA. I love my family more than anything, and I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ my family can be together forever. What an amazing gift!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy! I grew up in this church so when I was younger I was indifferent towards it. I just went to church because that's what I was supposed to do, but as I have prayed to know if it's true or not I received an answer and I know for myself that this is the true church. It makes me so happy. I know I would not be able to be this happy if I wasn't a member of this church. It has given me a better understanding of what is really important in life; it gives me better perspective. It has helped me become closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father than anything else. I love being a Mormon! It makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of what I believe. I try to serve those around me and do what Christ would do if He were here. As a missionary I am able to not only live my faith, but share it too. It is such a cool and rewarding experience to see peoples lives change and improve as they learn more about Christ and His gospel. I love it so much! This gospel has truly changed my life and is shaping me into the person Heavenly Father wants me to become.
