Hi I'm Lizzy

I love to play my saxophone and I'm serving as a missionary in the Washington Kennewick Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started playing the flute in fifth grade in my elementary band. When I was a freshmen in high school I started playing the saxophone to join jazz band. It won my heart and I started playing sax in concert, jazz and marching band. I served on my high school's seminary council and on the student council as Student Body Secretary. I marched in the marching band all four years of high school. I taught the Herriman High Marching Band before I left for my mission and love every second of it! I'm currently serving a full time mission in the Washington Kennewick Mission. I love music and I love helping others grow to become better versions of themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two parents who raised me in the LDS Church. When I was about four years old, they got a divorce. My conversion has much to do with that. Because I went back and forth between my two parents homes once or twice a week, I really relied on what I had been taught that I had a Father in Heaven who loved me and watched over me. I didn't always have a parent with me throughout my youth because they were at work, school, or some other commitment. I became very close with my Father in Heaven and talked to Him when I was struggling. He became the person I would go to for advice, help, or comfort. I know that this church is true because I have felt His comfort and presence in my life. I love being a member of this church and can't wait to share it with the world.

How I live my faith

I am on a LDS full time mission to serve the people of Kennewick Washington speaking Spanish. I read my scriptures everyday and say my prayers morning and night. At church on Sundays, I help out with the music we sing by leading the group of people who come.
