Hi I'm Zara Walker

I'm a wife, I'm a mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy doing lots of different hobbies, cooking, crafting, sports, and running around with my young girls. I believe that we are here to learn, to grow, and to love. Just like Gordon B. Hinckley said, "Life is to be enjoyed not just endured."

Why I am a Mormon

I was going to school and working when the missionaries came knocking. It was July in Texas and very hot outside. I opened the door, invited them in, and my life as I knew it changed. I took the missionary new member discussions and after praying about it decided to be baptized. I am very thankful for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, for the gospel and for a living prophet. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is our savior and that he lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and through him the true Church was restored to this dispensation. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I also know that we have a living prophet today with President Thomas S. Monson. I am thankful for these truths and I leave you my tesimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as an Adviser for the Mia Maids (14-15 year old) within the Young Women's program at our Ward. I have loved all of my callings and have learned so much! I have also worked in Primary as a Secretary as well as teaching Sunbeams (4 year old), CTR4, and Valiants (9 year olds). I love having the opportunity to visit with sisters through visiting teaching and making lasting friendships.
