Hi I'm Christian Beard

I grew up in Austin, Texas. I'm a student at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Christian. I am a student at Brigham Young University and will soon be leaving on a church mission to serve the people of Santiago Chile. I am extremely active and participate in a variety of sports. My favorites include, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and skateboarding. I was also heavily involved on the drumline in my High School's Marching band. I've been mormon my entire life and consider myself extremely lucky to have grown up in such a happy environment. I love the way our church revolves around family and brings us closer together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that living within the Church principles allow me to ultimately become a better person. I have learned to go out with friends and have fun without the use of drugs and alcohol. I have learned the value of repentance and its necessity to return to my father in Heaven. I know that if I live the commandments, I will be blessed. I am Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and want to serve him and all his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and participating in church activities. These activities can stretch between community service projects or just visiting the members of the church. As I have grown throughout the church, I have received many different jobs, or as we call it, "callings", that have helped my to participate in church. These callings have been to teach the youth church scripture, help teach members how to use the family history website, and even help organizing scouting activities. This participation has helped me to overcome trials in my life and prevent me from giving into temptation. I love serving the people around me and seeing the happiness that it brings.
