Hi I'm Mickey

I hate bananas. I'm super good at Catchphrase. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. Hello. Hi-Five. How nice of you to stop by my profile. Please make yourself at home. Anyway, my name is Mickey and I love stories. Making up stories, reading stories, the works. I suffer from a condition that I like to call "Plight of the Appreciator." Basically, it's a disease where the victim loves all forms of art but is unable to participate fully in any of them because of lack of skill. In order to relieve myself of this burden, I am a filmmaker. Or, at least, I want to be one. Who officially decides when you can actually call yourselves a filmmaker? If you know, please do not hesitate to forward them my information. If there is no such person, I volunteer. I like filmmaking because it can, if done well, combine every element/method of storytelling. Also, word on the street is it can make you a zillion dollars. Of course, I'm not in it for the money, but you will hear no complaints of a zillion dollars from this neck of the woods. Think of all the Mormon.org profiles I could make with a zillion dollars! Just kidding. Mormon.org profiles are priceless. Lol.

Why I am a Mormon

I love stories, and I think the best story of ever is that of the life of Jesus Christ. It's the best because every single word of it is true. (Stories are always better when they are true). Through the stories of Jesus Christ found in The Bible and especially the Book of Mormon, I have found joy and therefore a relationship with my Father in Heaven and with His Son, Jesus Christ. Through prayer, church attendance, and scripture study, I have come to know for myself that He lives, loves me, and has a plan for me. So, I figure that truth + love + plan = belief and desire to follow. Yes folks, you heard me right. It is THAT easy!!! Order now and we'll throw in a testimony of living prophets, like Joseph Smith, and of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving an LDS mission in Jacksonville Florida. I find one of the best ways to live what I know to be true is to share it with others. I love my mission and I LOVE serving the Lord. However, when I am not wearing my shiny black badge and chasing alligators off of my property, I live my faith by doing my best to follow the commandments given to me by Jesus Christ. I try to be an example as best I can. I'm not perfect, but I try my best and I think, so far, it's paying off. Not even one slip up as far as "thou shalt not kill" goes
