Hi I'm Sam

I am from New Mexico, a recent convert, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised catholic but something was always missing, until I found the LDS church. I play volleyball and absolutely love to cook. I am the oldest child out of 4 and oldest grandchild as well. I am currently trying to get back into college and get my bachelors in secondary education. My family is everything to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised catholic but never really practiced only lint, Christmas and Easter really but never really knew the meaning behind these days. My best friend converted and I decided it was time to better my life, so every now and then i would sneak in questions about the church. She invited me to meet the elders in our ward and I got to know them a little before I started to take lessons from them. I finally went to church with my friend and the talks hit me really hard, it was all about families and how we can be together for eternity through Heavenly Fathers plan. it was right then and there I knew this was for me. So I took the lessons and put my full heart in it and got the answers I wanted. I continue to follow His gospel because it fulls my life with nothing but joy and hope. I know this church is true and I know we have a living prophet and that Joseph Smith restored the gospel. I know if we follow Heavenly Fathers plan our lives will be filled and our families will forever be together with Him.

How I live my faith

My calling is being a Sunday school instructor for the young single adult women in my ward. I love to teach about Heavenly Father and Christ. It may be one of the few things I actually understand and want to learn more about every day!

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Sam
The gift of the Holy Ghost is like a dimmer for lights it is always on just sometimes less bright but it is always there. With out the Holy Ghost its like a light switch it can be there or not so you can still feel it but it will come and go. The Holy Ghost is always there to help, give you strength, to be a friend when you are down. There are many names for the Holy Ghost but my favorite is Comforter because no matter how bad you feel the Holy Ghost will be there to help you get through the tough trials. When you pray to know something is right and you get that warm feeling that is the Holy Ghost! Show more Show less
