Hi I'm Zach

I'm from Santaquin, Utah. I love the outdoors. I'm a mormon and will be serving in the Vanuatu Port Vila mission.

About Me

alright so my favorite hobbies in this super awesome world is watching movies!! I love movies, especially westerns. I love to go out and mountain bike all the time specifically downhill. I am really big in the scouting program, I was in two troop my ward and a community troop. I think scouting teaches so much leadership skills and how to be the best you possible! In high school I wrestled and absolutely the sport, I also did boxing, and muay Thai which also are such amazing sports that teach so much self discipline, how to build together as a family, and be the toughest dudes around. within the scouting program and the church I have been given so many oppurtunities to serve others which for me is an awesome way to spend your time and clear your head and also makes for some interesting/fun service competitions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have tried lived my life with and without the church where I have experienced different happiness's and hardships. The happiness of being a Mormon and following the church bring me a greater long lasting joy and also brings such a great focus on the family. the happiness without it has its highs, but ultimately falls very quickly and I don't really find a meaning or purpose and become quickly depressed. the hardships of the church can be for me sometimes pressure from others to be the perfect person, but you got to remember there is only one perfect person and that is Christ and we should only try out best to like him and not beat yourself or others over the things which we have done wrong and remember that you can be forgiven and be so happy, that is a great thing that I have learned in the church, and have grown me to be a heck of a lot stronger in my faith in the church spiritually and mentally. Having a testimony of The Prophet Joseph Smith is also why I choose to be Mormon over anything else because he had such a strong and powerful spirit with him, plus its hard to doubt that his is not of prophet of God with a life like his and when you have prayed about it to find out. things just seem to make a lot more sense when being a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latterday-Saints for me.

How I live my faith

well I'm big in service. I'm always trying to find a way to serve whether its something big like building a fence at a park, help fixing cabin, or something small like picking up trash on the side or as we call it in my troop the 999 shuffle. I have served in youth leadership positions in my church and as part of my duty was to invite the boys to all the activities we were having and to church to learn of the gospel and more importantly to partake of the sacrament. we ( as in the boy leaders and adult leaders) get together to plan fun activities that everyone can have a say in and enjoy. one thing that I am trying to do more is a bare a testimony of Christ and how much he means to me. which is pretty hard for me since I like my shell a little too much haha, but the more I have been doing it the easier it has become and the stronger the testimony of Christ grows.
