Hi I'm Lexi

I love everything colorful, creative, vibrant and beautiful about life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado and Utah as a member of the Church. My membership in this church endlessly blesses my life. It is the rock of my life. I wake up every morning for adventure, for the excitement of a new day and all the simple, beautiful experiences to be savored. I live to learn brand new things. I love to travel and see the world. I am passionate about experiencing every single thing I can in this world with the people I love most by my side. The most important thing in my life is my family. They mean the world to me and I love them tremendously. My friendships are also very important to me. I am happiest when surrounded by all the people I love most in this world. We are all a team navigating life together. I love everything colorful, creative, vibrant and expressive. I enjoy painting, drawing, music, etc. The outdoors are my happy place, particularly the mountains. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, climbing, kayaking, and anything else outside in fresh air. I am passionate about people- their stories, fears, beliefs and what sets their souls on fire. I love to experience life with them and see life through their eyes. I love to serve. Life is best lived through a lens of love and what better way to give and receive love than through service? Through my greatest example, my brother, and my Savior, Jesus Christ, I am learning to perfect the art of life one day at a time. Through Him, we have the ability to enjoy this life fully, deeply and meaningfully.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in it. I believe that this is God's church restored on this Earth and He is the head of it. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that like him, we can receive our own personal answers to any of our questions we have from God himself. I know this church is true because of the confirmation I have received through the Holy Ghost. When difficult times have come in my life, I have found peace, comfort and love through this church. I know that the temple is the Lord's house on this Earth. They are celestial classrooms where we can learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is given to us by a loving Heavenly Father. I know it is another testament of Jesus Christ. When I read it consistently and prayerfully, joy and peace fill my heart. I know The Prophet speaks to his people directly from God. All of these resources provided through The Church have brought me closer to Christ and have given me more happiness than I could ever have experienced on my own. Being a part of this church has changed my life. It is the way to consistent and lasting happiness. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a happiness machine. The Church provides all the resources we need to reach our fullest potential and live our richest and most meaningful lives possible. I have more peace and love in my heart because I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that no matter what happens, He will take care of me. I am a Mormon because through this gospel, I know who I am and I know I can do all things. I am reminded of my divine potential. Because of the knowledge I have as a Mormon, I know I can live with my family forever. Everything I love most in this world- my family, friends, interests, etc. and all beautiful and wonderful about life- can be enjoyed most fully through Jesus Christ. We have it all because of Him and can enjoy it more because of Him. This gospel is a gate to Christ's love and is centered on Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith and show my love for the Lord and his gospel by keeping His commandments and remembering Him always. I do so by reading the Book of Mormon everyday, listening to and following the words of current and past prophets, taking care of my physical, spiritual and emotional health so I can best fulfill God's purposes, attending my church meetings every Sunday, and attending the temple. I do my best to lead by example. There are many negative influences in our world that perpetuate hate, fear, insecurity and darkness. I hope to be a positive example of light, love, joy and of someone who has found happiness through the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I live this way, I hope others will want to know of Christ because of the way he has visibly changed my life and my heart. I live my faith by sharing with others what I believe and the great potential each one of us has through the gospel. I will be leaving soon to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Retalhuleu, Guatemala. As I do so, I will continue to live my faith by sharing the gospel and immersing myself more fully in this work that I so deeply believe in.
