Hi I'm Tristan

I'm from Minnesota. I'm serving a mission in McAllen Texas speaking Spanish. I love my ukulele, I'm a health nut, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was a three-sport athlete as well as academically active in my high school career. For sports, I participated in Cross country, Basketball, and Track and Field. For academics, I was in the Student Council, FFA, Head Photographer for our school yearbook, Student Representative for my town's Community Education Association, The Boy Scouts of America, One Act Plays, Musicals, Band, and Choir. I enjoy playing my ukulele, skateboarding, snowboarding and running in my free time. I love and enjoy photography, music, and the outdoors. Oh, I also LOVE dressing up. A job that entails wearing a suit is a job for me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what I have been taught is true. I know theses things to be true because I got on my knees and prayed to God asking if this church is true. I know these things because the Holy Ghost gave me a witness of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born into the church, so the gospel has always been a constant for me. I would say that I knew that the church was true as a young boy, but while growing up, I never really had opposition to the church. It was always just, there. I hadn't received any special knowing that it was true, and was discouraged at many incidences. At one point, I even doubted that church and religion mattered. I wanted to KNOW that the things that I have been taught all these years was true. I tried and tried to feel that "overwhelming" feeling, but never really did. I came to realize later that this feeling only came to me when I acted upon the wanting to know. I made a commitment to read the Book of Mormon diligently and to ask in faith that I will get an answer. It was after that little effort, that I received a feeling. It wasn't overwhelming, but It was a feeling of truth. I then knew that religion mattered, that I matter, and that God does care and wants me to know of the truth. That is why I am a Mormon; because the Holy Ghost told me that I am in the right place

How I live my faith

I live in an area where there are very few members. With that, I try my hardest to be a good example by living the gospel. I have held the calling as the Branch Choir Director, preparing special music for certain Sunday meetings. As a young man in the church, I helped plan many activities for the youth during the month. Whenever there is a member or nonmember in need, I try to always be a part of the service projects that my branch takes part in.
