Hi I'm Thomas Durham

I'm 18 and loving life, everyday is a new adventure. I'm going to Mexico City to serve a mission, I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Thomas. I have a wonderful Mom and Dad who have really helped me get to where I am today. I have three cute little sisters ages 16,14 and 10. I am athletic and really enjoy playing soccer. I spend a lot of time with friends, doing what ever we feel like. I am a chill person, just good with anything. I love being around people and talking to people. I like traveling and seeing new things. I love food, lots of food. I just graduated high school and am about to head out to serve the Lord on September 2nd 2015, traveling to Mexico City. I can't wait, I love this church and what it has done for me and my family. I can see the blessings in my life all around and I am always just amazed at the mercy, love and patience our Father in heaven shows unto me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I was never bought in, or had a conversion experience. My family is really involved in the church and my parents have raised all their children in the church. Through them, leaders, friends, countless small experiences, and my own desire and work I have gained a strong testimony of this gospel for myself. I love this church and I love God and Christ. I want to devote my life to them, and one day I can return to live with them again. The LDS church brings me more happiness than I could ever have gotten otherwise.

How I live my faith

I just recently was ordained to an elder, after being a priest for two years. I love to attend the temple, and learn new things. I am not perfect, not even close, but I know through Christ I can be perfected in him. I know there is always a second chance, Christ is all knowing of your circumstances and so incredibly merciful. He wants to forgive us. I like to home teach with my dad, we have three families that we are responsible to go and see and visit with once a month to help the bishop out. He doesn't have time to visit all the families in the ward. I try to be an example everywhere I go and always live my faith and what I believe as best as I can. I am not perfect, but I am always trying.
