Hi I'm David Harker

I was born in Canada and grew up in Oregon. I've spent my life wrestling for a living. I am a student at BYU and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to bike, hike, and wrestle! I just graduated from high school where I was the student body president of my school. I am now a student at BYU and plan to major in exercise and wellness and in business. Currently serving in McAllen Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. The school I attended is the largest in the state but had all of five members in the graduating class, to say being Mormon here is not the norm would be fair. So why am I Mornon? Because I love this church! I love to wrestle and in wrestling you're trained to seek absolute perfection in everything you do. We strive to be perfect on and off the mat. God has asked the same of us in our lives. I continue to fall short of that expectation everyday, but that's part of why I love this Gospel! God gave us a Savior. His son and our brother died and atoned for all of our short comings! It gives me hope and strength to continue to strive to be better. His gospel gives me hope for even better days to come. The Book of Mormon is that testimony that it all is true and as we read and pray about it we can and do find for ourselves the hope and joy and can better feel God's love for us. He is our Father in Heaven and he hears our prayers and answers them. This is a small portion of why I am Mormon and why I love this church! Pray and never stop praying He is there and loves us all!

How I live my faith

I am now serving as a full time missionary in Texas. I will serve in this capacity for two years!
