Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Illinois. I came to Utah for school, married a local girl and have been here ever since. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 20 years and we have 3 children. I love to watch and play sports, especially when my kids are the ones playing. After 20 years away, I just went back to school to finish my degree. Although it took some time, I'm glad that I went back to finish.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. My parents are Mormon and I was raised in a Mormon household. I always felt good going to church, but as I became a teenager I had questions and wanted to know if I was in the right place. I read the scriptures, prayed about what I read and heard and felt very strongly that I was where I needed to be. I spent 2 years in South America teaching others about what it means to be a Mormon. The experiences that I had there, helped to further confirm my decision to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love the city that I live in and my family and I love to be involved in the community, whether it be volunteering at my children's schools or helping the Scouting groups around us. I enjoy helping the kids in our neighborhood with Cub scout day camps or Pack meetings. I love politics and have been involved as a volunteer for many years. I enjoy meeting the candidates and elected officials to hear what they are doing to make our city, state and country better.
