Hi I'm Katie

I love life and I love the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend, and have four wonderful children. I grew up in a large family, the youngest of ten children were I learned many important things about life. I was taught the importance of working together, how to sacrifice, how to work and love life, in my home we were also taught the importance of prayer studying the scriptures. I now have the wonderful opportunity to try and teach my own children those same principles and help them as the learn and develop. I hope to pass on those most important lessons I have learned, to love life and love others and love the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy, it gives me a purpose, it gives me direction in a world that is often confusing and hard. I know that God has a purpose for me here on earth and that I am here for a reason and that if I do what is right and seek his guidance I can return to live with him again after this life with my family. I have no doubt of this. I know that I can be with my family forever and I can't think of anything that means more to me than this. I know that he sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to suffer and die for me to make all of this possible. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother and my Savoir and the perfect example to try to emulate.

How I live my faith

In the church I have had many different opportunities to serve and work with many different people. I have been blessed to serve with the young children as well as the youth groups and help them with their activities and lead their lessons on Sundays. I love how the church gives us opportunities to serve, because as we serve others we truly find out for ourselves those things that matter most in live. We learn to look outside or own lives and seek ways to help others. Also in the process of serving in different areas I have been able to work with and meet the greatest people. Who have influenced me and taught me so many great lessons that I needed at that time. As a mother my faith is what leads and guides me through out each and everyday. Our family prays together and reads the scriptures in the morning before each of the children goes to school. This helps each of us start the day with our minds on what matters most. I also feel like having prayer as a family before each of us goes our separate ways helps us with whatever will be faced with that day. As a mother I receive a lot of comfort knowing that as my children walk out the door the the Lord is watching over them. My faith is what propels all of what I do each day. When I get caught up in things that aren't as important I just have to remember my purpose here on earth and remember that my goal is to help me and my family return to our Heavenly Father and to be examples of love and service to those we are around each day. This helps keep things in perspective as I go though my life.
