Hi I'm Jay Reuben Saunders

I grew up in Oregon. Won the 2015 National Ford/AAA autoskills competition with my teammate who is also a Mormon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing sports for fun and working (farm work that is). I grew up on a farm and really enjoyed all of the experiences and memories of it. I loved driving tractors and trucks probably the most. I come from a large family of 4 brothers and 8 sisters and I dearly love each and everyone of them. I'm currently on a mission, but will attend college when I get back. I love getting to know people, it brightens my day to meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I have many great memories going to church, attending social activities, meeting those I have, going to dances, service projects, singing, and hanging out with my family. I know that the church is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and that he will not leave anyone astray. I know that we may have many pains or regrets in life, but through the power of the atonement, we can overcome the affects of our choices Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that sent His son to die for our sins, sufferings, and pain. This alone means so much to me! I know that Jesus Christ loves us so much and cared so much to die for us! We all can make it. I know that better days are ahead and that more happier times are ahead as long as we continue striving to follow the teachings of this gospel. It is my prayer that i can help others find that true joy that they are hungering for. I love the Book of Mormon and reading it daily has changed my life in so many ways. I know it is true and if anyone is struggling in life, just pick the Book of Mormon up, read it daily, and act on the feelings or impressions you get.

How I live my faith

I participate in the community by supporting what our community does. I love attending high school sporting events as church events. I enjoy having the opportunity to go with my dad to visit families and getting to know them better as well as having a gospel discussion with them that will help them with everyday life.
