Hi I'm Angela

I'm a mother. I love to sing. I love to quilt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother. There is no better joy in my life that can relate, but being a mother is the hardest thing I have ever done. I have a few hobbies that I enjoy. I enjoy making quilts, singing, and working in a garden. I love cookies and spending time with my family. My family teases me because I am a lot like my father. I enjoy a good pun. I really didn't realize this until I left for College and started sharing my puns with my friends. Usually they are not very funny, but they give me a smile. I find doing dishes therapeutic and will always chose to do them over any other chore. I have not accomplished much in the work industry, but I am right in my element at home. I am happier here. I love the idea that I have flexibility in my day and can chose to go on an outing anytime.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me a sense of who I am and why I am here. I have more purpose in life when I read the Book of Mormon and pray. Understanding that I have a brother who sacrificed His life for me makes me want to be a better person and to share His message with others. I have had so many instances where Heavenly Father has blessed me because I have had faith in Him. One of these experiences happened a few years ago. My husband was graduating from College when I started feeling this sharp pain in my stomach. It was so bad that I couldn't walk. After a short while that pain went away. A week later I started feeling that pain again and it was stronger. My husband and daughter were gone at the time, so I was alone. Through a prompting I knew I needed to call for help. I called for an ambulance to come and they checked my vitals which seemed at the time alright, but they were concerned for me, they suggested that since I had no insurance at the time that I should ask a neighbor to help take me to the hospital. I looked through a list of members of my ward to see who would be home at that time to take me. I tried my visiting teaching partner first, but she wasn't answering. So I was prompted to try another sister who was usually at work during this time. She answered and gave me a ride. I will forever be thankful for her service to me and for her prompting to have the doctor check for an Ectopic pregnancy. As soon as I got there I mentioned to the health care provider that we were trying to get pregnant. They then changed their route for taking care of me. I went into surgery fast. A while after one of the surgeons mentioned to me that the whole experience of giving me the surgery was a miracle. He of all years of operating has never seen an Ectopic end so well. somehow the sac moved to a better area to be removed. I was given a blessing the day prior. I know that it was because of Him that the surgery ended so well. I feel his love. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are many ways that I live my faith. I have had a number of callings. Right now my husband and I teach children that are 8 turning 9. It is so fun every Sunday to see them understand a concept, or work toward a goal. I see their testimonies grow every week and I get to see my husband who is in school more on that day. I also am a visiting teacher. I try and visit with two sisters every month, which can be fairly easy sometimes, but other times can be very difficult to accomplish. When I do go, though I find more time to do things at home then when I don't. I also help with the women's organization to plan activities on a monthly basis. It is great because I get to meet and know the sisters better and I get to have my creative juices flow more, which is fun.
