Hi I'm Maddy

I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I love music and having fun with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing is music. I love singing, acting, and playing the violin, piano, and guitar. I am the oldest of three siblings and I love going on trips with my family. I am currently a student at a University. I love learning and gaining further knowledge so that one day I can become a professional in communicative disorders and deaf education. I love any opportunity that I have to serve and to know that I can be a positive influence in someone else's life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of this church. Growing up my family would take me and my siblings to church every Sunday and we would participate in every church activity that we could. Although I grew up knowing the truth of this gospel, that didn't substitute for having my own testimony. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I decided I need to figure out what I believe on my own. I was going through a rough patch in my life and I wanted to believe, but I was struggling. It had been a while since I had opened up my scriptures and read for myself, but I decided that I needed to read. One of the scriptures I read that night told me to pray and that the truth would be manifested unto me. I got on my knees and began to pray. I asked my Father in Heaven for help in knowing what to believe in and how to feel the truthfulness of this gospel for myself. In this very instant I felt the comforting and sure knowledge that His church is the true church more than I had ever felt it growing up. After this point in my life, whenever I have a hard time I am able to pick myself up again and I know that I will have the strength to get through all of my hard times as long as I rely on our Savior, Jesus Christ, and trust in Him. I know that the power of prayer is so real and that no matter who prays in the name of Jesus Christ that their prayers will be answered. It may not be in the same minute that you are praying, but as long as you push forward with a sure knowledge and faith that your prayers will be answered, you will always be given an answer. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that with faith in Him and this gospel that any prayer can be answered. I know that the restored gospel and true church is on this earth today and I know that the words in the Book of Mormon are 100% true. I love this gospel and would not change where I'm at at this time in my life for anything. Have faith and you will be lead to where you need to be.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to help around my community is to see who needs help and carry out a plan of how I can help these people. My favorite way of service is when it is done anonymously. I don't look for praises from others but rather a happy feeling for myself that I have done all that I know I can to help. I participate in my ward by helping to organize actives and making sure that they are done in a way that people in attendance will enjoy themselves. I love giving my ideas and helping out in church leadership meetings to enhance the experience for everyone.
