Hi I'm McKay Colton

I am a proud husband and father to my wife and 3 kids. I love family vacations, movies and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the simplicity of life. I am a proud husband and father to 3 beautiful children. My family is a constant source of joy and peace in my life. I grew up in the small town of Hurricane Utah and spent the formative years of my life enjoying small town life with life long friends. I served as a full time missionary in the Ukraine, Kyiv Mission before obtaining a BS degree in Managerial Economics from Southern Utah University (SUU). My SUU education and passion for business led me to BYU where I earned my MBA. I have spent most of my adult life working in the finance industry. I co-founded an educational loan company prior to earning my MBA and have worked for American Express for the past several years. My work experience and education have taught me the importance of the time value of money. I enjoy playing and watching sports, in particular golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I find the words found on its pages to be undeniable. It testifies of Christ; it harmonizes with the teachings of the Bible; Its source is simply not of this world. As such, it has come to us by the power and will of God. I truly believe God loves us. He has not left us alone, and he does not expect that the revelation of the past is sufficient to address all of the trials and challenges of today. He has blessed us with a modern day prophet who serves as his mouthpiece.

How I live my faith

Coming from a small town in Utah I learned the importance of community, service and relationships. My faith leads me to cultivate relationships with those around me through service. In particular, I enjoy working with the youth to build character and attributes that will prepare them for the future. I also strive to embrace opportunities to support and strengthen my faith and the faith of others through participating in events that improve our community. Faith promotes action; acts that improve the world around us and promote faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
