Hi I'm Sarah

I'm just a typical Utah girl serving a mission in Irvine California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and art, particularly the art and music created during the impressionistic era. I also love all things relating to the great Uinta Mountains here in Utah: Hiking, camping, horseback riding, target shooting, or just gazing at the stars.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. My grandparents were converts to the church, and so I have been a part of it since I was baptized at eight years old. At this point in my life, I appreciate the choice that my grandparents made, and so I chose to do the same. I love this church and the gospel with my entire being, and I chose to be a Mormon every day I wake up.

How I live my faith

I feel that the best way I live my faith are these simple answers: Going to church, saying your prayers, read the scriptures, and go to the temple. There is a catch to these answers though- They require your full attention and sincerity. I grew up in the LDS faith, so these things have always been part of my life. Sometimes it's difficult to remember that they aren't just items on a list to check off, but commandments given from the Lord to us. They are meant to help us grow spiritually closer to our Heavenly Father, and to help us learn of him and live an eternal lifestyle. I try to LIVE my faith, not just act like it.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Sarah
As a future/current missionary, I made the decision to serve knowing that I would fund myself. I have chosen to leave the comfort of my own home and go to a different state for 18 months in order to share the truths and beliefs that have made me so happy. Christ suffered the atonement for me, and so I can sacrifice my money and time to him for 18 months. Show more Show less
