Hi I'm Missy

I love date nights with my husband and spending time with my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of 3 amazing kids. I currently stay at home but plan on going to nursing school in the winter. Staying active is important to me. Running and hiking are my main sources of exercise. I love to read but don't always find the time to do so. I've found listening to books while I clean, cook and drive as a great substitute for reading. Growing up, my mom made the best homemade bread. After YEARS of practice, I've been able to master her recipe and always have a loaf of homemade bread in the cupboard. In my spare time I enjoy: sewing, crochet, playing board/card games with family and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a mormon home. At 8 years old I was baptized a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints. Since 8 years of age I've continued to actively participate in this Church. I choose to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints because I know it is the one and only true church of God. I feel it in my heart and soul that it is true. Living the principles of the gospel, making and keeping sacred covenants with God, studying the scriptures (especially the Book Of Mormon) and praying daily to a loving Heavenly Father bring me peace, comfort, hope and direction.

How I live my faith

Each sunday I work with the primary kids ages 3-11 at church. Myself and 2 other women rotate each month teaching a 15 minute lesson on Christ and His gospel to the kids. I love sharing stories from the scriptures, apostles or personal stories that invite the spirit into the room. Sharing my testimony of my Savior and His church with the primary children strengthen my testimony. When it isn't my turn to teach I help keep children quite during the lessons. Outside of Sunday I have the opportunity to visit 3 women in their homes and share a brief article from our church leaders. During this time I'm able to get to know different women in my ward on a more personal level. This is a great time to visit, strengthen relationships and strengthen our love for the Savior.
