Hi I'm Kylie

Born and raised in Idaho. Vocal performance major at Utah State University. I have the greatest family in the world. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love all things music, especially when it comes to singing! Being a vocal performance major at USU, I get to be around music all the time. I love the way good and uplifting music makes me feel! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to increase my talents and share my musical gifts with others at such a wonderful university. I also love cooking and spending time with those I love. One of my favorite things to do with my family is to make and share good food with them! Nothing brings people together like good food. Some of my favorite memories come from my kitchen at home, like my dad making his family-famous crepes on Christmas morning, trying new dessert recipes for family home evening on Monday nights, or just talking to my mom while she makes me oatmeal for breakfast. I have always loved food, but I especially love food when I can share it with my family and others. Another hobby of mine is running, and exercising in general. I love having an active lifestyle! It makes me feel good about myself and gives me the ability to do fun things, like play a kickball game with my family, or go play some night games with a bunch of friends. It is very important to me to take care of my body. By taking care of myself, I can feel great and do great things to the very best of my ability! I currently am preparing to serve a mission in Macon, Georgia. I cannot wait to serve others and represent my Savior!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me happy. It's as simple as that. I have felt the Spirit of God bear witness to me that this is the true church. I feel so happy and loved when I obey Christ's commandments. I am at peace and receive light and knowledge when I read the Book of Mormon and other scriptures. I am filled with joy when I go to the temple and renew those covenants I have made with my Father each week when I partake of the sacrament. This is the true church, because nothing else on earth could make me feel so happy and loved. Life can be hard sometimes, for everyone. However, I have found that being a part of Christ's true church has given me the ability to withstand my trials with more strength than I could ever have on my own. I can even be happy and find hope and faith in my trials because I know that God has a plan for me. I know that this church is true. I know that God loves us, each one of us. I know that He sent His son Jesus Christ to come to earth and atone for our sins, so we could return to live with Him. I love my Savior, and will forever be grateful to Him!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be involved in my community and ward. I participate in community service activities often and fulfill my callings in my church. The callings I have held have mainly had to do with music (chorister, organist). I love being able to invite the Spirit of God into our weekly Sunday sacrament meetings through music. Music definitely adds a different spirit to sacrament meeting! I have been blessed through serving in my callings wholeheartedly. The Lord has made me more happy and satisfied with my life as I know that I am doing what He is asking me to do. Nothing brings me more joy, comfort, and satisfaction than serving where God has asked me to serve, and doing what God has asked me to do. I know that as we follow Him and serve in our callings to the best of our ability, we will be blessed. We will also bless the lives of others!
