Hi I'm Caryn Pinkston

I'm an aspiring author. I've been Mormon my whole life. In my free time I blog, make things, and spend time with my family.

About Me

My name is Caryn Pinkston, and I was born and raised in the Church. I'm nineteen years old, and I have yet to become comfortable with myself as an adult. For a job, I write and illustrate from home, and I'm studying to become a professional healer. As for hobbies, I like to blog, crochet, make jewelry, baby my dog, doodle, sew, spend time with my family, and sing. Right now, my goal in life (aside from exaltation, of course) is to simply learn to adjust to myself, who I am now, and find peace with where I'm going. I'm not worried about my testimony; God has been pretty adamant that I keep developing it, but sometimes I worry that I may receive more abundance than I know what to do with. I've been raised on homeschooling, and would highly recommend it to anyone in a position to do so.

Why I am a Mormon

As I've mentioned before, I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I've always been strongly encouraged to go, and, even through the most rebellious of my teen years, I've never once doubted or regretted my religion. For me, there was never a moment what I had to wonder, there was never a time I wanted to try something else; I've always felt the truth of this doctrine, right down to my bones. The Church is true. And I wouldn't be where I am without it.

How I live my faith

That is a full question. Being born in the Church, the classic outward displays of faith have always been habit with me; prayer, scripture study, going to church and family time have all been a big part of my life. Sometimes, I feel that the things that I need most faith to do are the little things that sometimes scare me. Household chores, speaking up, not hiding whenever something new comes up, eating things that I think look gross, so on. Yeah, I have a little bit of anxiety disorder.
