Hi I'm Michelle

I am an artist with synesthesia, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My whole family is very musical; I play the French Horn and Jazz Trumpet. I love to swim and I used to be in a fencing club. Hiking, camping, and canoeing are some of my favorite summer activities. My hobbies are reading, writing, and drawing. I like to design characters and write about them. I also have synesthesia, a rare brain condition referred to as a "phenomenon" in which a person experiences a unique connection between 2 or more senses. For me, sounds make shapes. I really love to draw the shapes I "see" in music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon family and raised in the gospel. My knowledge of it's truthfulness came gradually throughout my whole life. I love the gospel; it just makes so much sense and it's so simple. I don't know everything, but I know it's true and I will continue to share it with everyone I can.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary, teaching others about the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I have nearly been out a year now, and I will complete my mission at the end of 18 months after I left home. I really love to be a missionary! My favorite part is being able to share with others my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation; God's plan for His children to learn, grow, and find happiness in this life if they will do His will. My favorite doctrine is the eternal nature of families.
