Hi I'm Zach

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm the second of five children, born and raised in Utah. I like running and ran cross country and track in high school. I enjoy listening to music, going to dances, and spending time with family and friends. I recently received my mission call to the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is very similar to many members that were raised in the church. I want to share how I received my answer and that I did receive an answer. I grew up in a family that is active in the LDS church. Even before I was old enough to know for myself, I felt that the church was true and thought that it was the right thing. That's why I made the decision to be baptized. However, it became more difficult for me to know if I was part of the true church as I got older. I had heard all my life that the church was true, but there came a time when I really started to question if I really knew, or if I just believed my parents and friends. As I searched for an answer it was important to me that I knew for myself and that I knew for sure. I read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it is true. I received an answer that the Book of Mormon is true and this is the restored gospel. I cannot deny the feelings I had when I received my answer, and I know this for certain. The gospel brings me so much happiness in life. I become better and find happiness and peace as I repent of my sins and rely on our savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to exercise faith daily as I pray to Heavenly Father. My life makes sense to me and I have perspective as I study the Book of Mormon. As I pray and read the scriptures I am guided by the spirit to help me make decisions. I strive to keep the commandments because I receive strength to resist temptation and I have the spirit with me as I keep myself clean and pure. I live my faith by repenting and trying every day to be better.
