Hi I'm Nick Huston

I have lived in Idaho most of my life. I love to play basketball and other sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Nick. I just graduated from high school recently and am headed to California to serve my mission soon. I love to play basketball and have played for my school varsity team for two years. This past year we won the state championship. I am hoping to receive scholarship offers to play in college when i return from serving my mission. I love other sports too. Overall I just like staying active. I love the competitive aspect of sports and the feeling they give me. I love being with my friends and family. I also love to joke and have fun with people. I am the second oldest of five. I have three sisters and one brother. I am also an uncle to one nephew.

Why I am a Mormon

One thing you should know is I was born in the church. As a child being born into it church was always just something I did because my parents told me to. For a while I was able to live off of my parent's and those around me testimonies. Once I grew older I realized church was more than something you just do because of your parents. I learned the importance of scripture, and baptism, and God's plan for us. I learned about Joseph Smith and how he restored the true church on the earth today, which is this church, the Mormon church. Most of all though I learned of the Atonement, which is where Christ suffered all our sins so that we can repent and return to live with our father in Heaven. This which is part of his great plan because he loves each of us and wants us to return. I know that through repentance we can repent and be clean which is God's greatest gift. I am a Mormon because I know that the feelings and impressions which I have felt in my own life concerning this church were real. I also know I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost, which has helped me to gain the testimony I now have. I am a Mormon because I know it is the true church.

How I live my faith

Im currently serving a mission in the California Ventura mission. I study the scriptures and try my best to apply the teachings to my life and teach the people of California how they can grow closer to Christ as well. My life is dedicated to this gospel.
