Hi I'm Anne

I'm a mother, a hairdresser and a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Derry, Northern Ireland and that's where I live. I have three adult children who are my world. I am a self employed hairdresser. I love my work and love helping people feel good or better about themselves. I am the eldest of four sisters and one brother, I enjoy going to concerts, music in general, family history, travel, food and life in general and I love to laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. I joined the Church at the age of forty five while living in England but have since moved home. I was happy to talk with the missionaries but told them I was happy as I was and wouldn't be changing! Over a year later I was baptised. I can best describe it as a jigsaw puzzle that had all the pieces in place. The missionaries helped me with any questions I had and I will always be grateful for all they did in helping me come unto Christ. I love being a member of this Church. I love that no matter where you go in the world, any ward you visit you will always feel that you belong to this wonderful family. I know that I am a daughter of a God and that He wants me to return to live with Him. I know I have so much more to learn and I pray that I will continue on this journey with the help of a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I like to think of myself as an active member of the Church. I do my best to live what I am taught. I focus on the basics daily such as prayer, scripture reading and obeying the commandments. I do my best to fulfil my callings or anything that is required of me. I have had a lot of dealings with the youth in my 6 years of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have taught seminary for 3 years and have been so grateful for that opportunity as I learned so much more than I could ever imagined. I try to be a better person each day and hope that I can be a good example as a member of the Church. I know that if I do my part or the best that I can at the time the Lord will help me and that strengthens me.
