Hi I'm Sydney

Soon to be sister missionary. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Idaho is where I reside! I love to dance, sing, write, and laugh with people who mean the most to me. Dancing helps me to relieve stress and release energy! Although i'm not a professional dancer, I find so much joy and just goofing off and having a great time! I sing to pass the time and love the way music can speak to me. Writing is one of the few hobbies that encourages me think beyond my usual realm of words. I find so much joy in words. Laughing is the best way for me to be away with the tensions of everyday life. Without laughter, is one truly happy? I had an incredible high school experience that I will forever be grateful for. I learned so much about myself, my testimony, and the people around me. High school was a time for me to figure out who I was and to be given the opportunity to live my religion on a daily basis. Playing basketball with my best friends taught me that with teamwork, anything can be achieved. I was tested every single day to choose the right and at times, that choice was hard. But with my faith in this great Gospel, I chose to live God's plan for me!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8, I was given the opportunity to be come a member of this church and at that time I think I was baptized because my family wanted me to. But as I grew older, I had to figure out why I, individually, wanted to be a member of this church. And I found that answer in the feeling that service gave me. I just want to serve those around me and tell them about the tidings of great joy, which is this Gospel itself. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ suffered for me and gave me the opportunity to live again through repentance. His example is by far my greatest goal. I am so grateful to have the great knowledge that I do of this true and everlasting Gospel!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my actions, my words, and my thoughts. I never lower my standards to receive the approval of others; otherwise, what would be the point of standards? My words reflect what I have been studying in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I am constantly aware of the way I am presenting myself to the world. By bring modest and cautious of the words that leave my mouth. I hold myself to a higher standard, because I always want to be better and continue to improve and change. I always try to keep my thoughts clean, so the spirit may guide my actions. I know that through constantly striving to live my religion, that I can be of help to others when the time comes. With God in my life, there is nothing to fear!
