Hi I'm Quinton

I'm a Mormon. I have a testimony that family's can be together forever! Proud to serve in the Utica, New York Mission!

About Me

I love playing the Piano I've done it for 13 years and I still can't get enough of it! I love seeing how The Gospel blesses my life and the lives of others. One of the things I absolutly love is being able to star gaze in a dark area and being in awe of God's power. I enjoy photography as well and love making videos with GoPro. I plan on attending college and am excited for the experiences and relationships I will gain from it.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? For years and years I did not know what to believe in, I believed in God and all of my family were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Yet I did not know for myself what was true. Like many others I was unsure which Church or Group was supposed to be the actual living Church of God, with the same organization of living Prophets and Apostles that Christ had established Himself while He was here on the earth. My soul was at stake here and I didn't want to choose a group simply because it was popular, I knew only God could tell me what Church was His in a way I would know it was from Him. I had looked a little bit into different Churches but I did not feel God was "fully" there. I felt a good feeling at many of them, and knew "parts" of God were there but none felt full of truth and light that could only come from God. After a while I heard the story of a boy named Joseph Smith who I felt I could relate to, indeed like him I was lost and believed in a God but knew not where to find Him. So many people had so many different interpretations of the Bible, to some a passage was completely literal and to others it was beautifully symbolic. I knew my answer had to come of God. After reading James 1:5 I realized I needed to ask God, and this time I had to do so having faith in Him. No passage of scripture had ever hit me so hard. This was something that was I knew would require effort on my own, and nobody could do it for me. So I did as James directs and I asked God. Words cannot tell the joy and love I felt when I received my answer. And after receiving my answer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was His restored Gospel I tested it over and over again to make sure what I was being taught was of God and He never failed. The Book of Mormon invites all to read and then ask God sincerely if it is true. I promise you if you do so you will receive an answer from God.

How I live my faith

In our ward I am a Family History Consultant. What I do is help others find their ancestors who may not have had the opportunity to participate in ordinances such as baptism so that we can do as instructed in 1 Corinthians 15:29. So that they too may rise, even though during their lifetime they may not have had the opportunity to be baptized, and also so those who did not accept the opportunity while living may have an opportunity again to be baptized.
