Hi I'm Thomas

I was raised in Idaho and Missouri. I am a missionary. I love Jesus Christ. I love to serve. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love computers and service. These go together a lot. Before my mission, I always had a computer or two from friends at church to work on. I especially like the joy that comes from showing people the data (pictures, music, journals) that they thought was lost forever. At age 13, I built a computer in a cardboard box from parts that I found at a local thrift store. At age 15, I received the CompTIA A+ Certification. After my mission, I plan to go to college for an Information Technology degree, find an eternal companion (Wife) and raise a family in the Gospel the way I was raised.

Why I am a Mormon

As we all do from time to time, I have had challenges in my life. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Through the Atonement, I am enabled. I have the ability to repent, and bring my life in line with His teachings. The Commandments, or "Rules" that I follow as a member of the church, bring me blessings that I may be in desperate need of. In addition to the wonderful ability to repent, that I have through the Atonement, the Atonement brings to me the assurance that I WILL LIVE AGAIN, and if I keep the commandments, and repent when I fall short, then I will live again with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and my beloved family forever. Then I can and will experience true Joy, Peace, and Love, as I continue to Learn, live and love in eternity.

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I served as a youth leader several different times in the youth program at my local ward (congregation). I also served the ward as an Audio/Video assistant, Where I would set up TVs, Projectors, and the speaker system for church activities. I also served in several positions in the Boy Scout troop organized by my ward. I had a great time interacting with others who kept the same standards, beliefs, and values that I do. At a personal level, I take the invitation from the Lord to "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21) seriously. I love to study the Bible and The Book of Mormon, and then pray and ask the Lord if the things that I study are true. When He witnesses to me that they are, through the power of the Holy Ghost, I then have to begin living according to that truth. I know that the Lord will bless me as I keep His commandments and follow His example.
