Hi I'm Saren

I lived in Utah my whole life. I am going on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the violin, sing, and recently picked up the guitar. I am a Young Single Adult who attended a year of college. I have little brothers and one twin sister; she and I are the eldest.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was eight years old. I was encouraged by my leaders, parents, and family. I thought it was right and it felt good. I have gained a stronger testimony since then by reading the Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because I believe in the Book of Mormon, modern day prophets, and their teachings. The knowledge and faith I have in Christ's Atonement give me comfort and hope.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church. My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents are all members. I grew up learning about the church, attending meetings, the whole nine yards. I got to high school and my friends in our small community made choices different than mine. I questioned the church, kept attending religion classes, continued to attend church, and finally read the Book of Mormon cover to cover in my religion class. It wasn't until then that I gained my true testimony. I went to a year of college, then came back home and decided to serve a mission. My family has supported me, and my testimony has become stronger than ever, as well as my understanding. I share my testimony more. I encourage others and listen to what they have to say.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jesus Christ is our brother, Savior, and Redeemer. He cares for and loves us. He personally knows us and wanted us to come back to live with our Father in Heaven. He died for all of us because none of us are perfect. It was all in God's plan. Because of His atoning sacrifice, we can all seek repentance and forgiveness in order to become closer to Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
