Hi I'm Madilyn

I have a passion for all things musical. I love to learn! I have had two open-heart surgeries. I am a Mormon!!

About Me

I grew up in a small farm town and I LOVED it!! I am the third of six children. I have two sisters, and triplet brothers. I was born with Critical Aortic Valve Stenosis. Because of the blessings from my loving Heavenly Father and the skill of amazing doctors, I am alive and living a wonderful life! Music is a significant part of my life. It has brought me much joy! If I am not singing or dancing to it, I can be found playing the piano or violin. I learned to love many genres of music such as classical, country, oldie goldies, classic rock, and of course, I have a fondness for the Beatles. I love participating in choirs and musicals. I have danced almost every genre from ballet to ballroom. I love to learn and especially love Science and History. There is so much to learn and I am excited about new adventures that come my way. I have been busy with my university studies and plan to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in the Health Sciences. I hope to become an Echocardiogram Technician.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I cannot imagine my life without the church! My life has been blessed because of my family’s faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and their prayers in my behalf. I know that my life has been spared for a reason, and I need to show my gratitude to my Heavenly Father by living the way he wants me to, so that I may someday return to live with Him again. Even though I was raised in a family of Mormons, I knew it was important for me to gain and build my own testimony and make choices that would bring me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. Through many trials, tender mercies, studying and prayer, I have developed a strong testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church and that Joseph Smith was called and guided by God to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ again on this earth. I know that Joseph Smith did see God and Jesus Christ. He was guided to translate the Book of Mormon; a book that I know is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know without any doubt, that we have a loving Heavenly Father who desires nothing more than for us to return to Him. And because of that desire, He sent His son, our brother, Jesus Christ, to atone for all of our sins. Because of Christ's atonement, I know that we can be made clean, and receive comfort through the pains, sorrows, and trials that we may experience. I know that Jesus is The Christ and this is His church. I am so grateful for all the blessings that have come from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart. I know that Their love is greater than anything we can comprehend. They will always love us and be with us, no matter what!! And isn't that amazing?!

How I live my faith

I love talking about my faith! I have always enjoyed opportunities to share my beliefs with others. In an effort to “practice what I preach”, I have tried to follow my father’s advice which was to “let your actions do the talking”. I hope that others can feel my love for my faith by how I live every single day, and by how I make others feel. I have enjoyed serving in my church. I am about to embark on another exciting opportunity to serve. I have been called to serve in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my faith with others. I already feel a love for the people of that area and I cannot wait to serve them!!
