Hi I'm Dakota

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I play sports, I love film, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved sports. In high school I played varsity volleyball, tennis, and basketball. I have a passion for art of all kinds. In high school I studied graphic design and film. I hope to be able do one of those things professionally someday. I also have a passion for music; I'm usually always listening to it! I love my family and I am so grateful for their support in everything I do. On top of everything, I love this Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Catholic church. However, when I was a young boy, my family was introduced to the Mormon church. From that point on, I knew that the Mormon church was true. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I know that the Bible is also a true testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true living Prophet of God. This Church teaches nothing but good values and I love that. I do not yet have a family of my own, but when I do, I know I want to raise my kids in this wonderful Church.

How I live my faith

First off, I attend church every Sunday. I love the good feelings I get when I go. I never feel closer to God than when I am at church. I try to obey all of God's commandments, and while I am not perfect, I do my best to live my life the way He would want me to. Every month I visit different members of my church and teach them a gospel lesson in their home. This is also a great time to see how they are doing and ask them if there is anything that they are in need of, and if I can help.

What is the priesthood?

The Priesthood is the authority to act in God's name. This is the same priesthood that Jesus and his Apostles had when he set up his church. This Priesthood was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
